DAWN-MARIE G. WOOD

Professor Dawn-Marie G. Wood is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, devoted wife and mother of four, assistant teaching professor of psychology at Brigham Young University, and ally dedicated to understanding the nature and depth of what our LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters are experiencing in Church culture. In her role as chair of the Psychology Department’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Professor Wood specializes in fostering an environment of compassion, inclusivity, and Christ-like love, encouraging each member of the Church to "stay permanently and faithfully in the choir, where [they] will be able to savor forever that most precious anthem of all--'the song of redeeming love'” (Jeffrey R. Holland, April 2017). On campus and in her callings in the Church, she is dedicated to supporting marginalized Latter-day Saints by making room for them on the pew and supporting their efforts to come unto Christ and stay with Him.
